The national initiative for smart green projects has 10 achievements, which included the localization of sustainable development goals, smart partnership between local, national and international, as well as preparing a database for smart green projects, mapping smart green projects at the governorate level, finding Egyptian solutions to the problems of climate change at the governorate level. The national level, in addition to the application of smart technology and digital transformation, and the creation of automatic investment opportunities to finance projects by linking projects with donors and financial and international institutions, building the capacity of cadres in the governorates, as well as empowering many sectors with the initiative such as the women’s sector, youth, the private sector, civil society, While maximizing the return resulting from partnership with all governorates to raise awareness of climate changes.
Regarding the statistics on response rates to progress in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects at the level of the governorates of the Republic, Badr explained that the total submitted projects amounted to 6,281 projects, including 688 projects in the category of large projects, 1215 projects in the category of medium projects, 889 projects in the category of small local projects, and 655 projects in start-up companies , in addition to 1789 projects in the category of non-profit projects, 1045 in women’s projects.
Today, the activities of the National Conference for the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects were held, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and with the participation of Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Solidarity Social, Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Climate Pioneer for the Egyptian Presidency of the Conference of Parties COP27 and Chairman of the National Arbitration Committee of the Initiative, Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Coordinator and Head of the National Committee for the Initiative, Ms. Elena Panova, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Egypt, Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, Eng.
