Within the framework of the activities of the twenty-seventh session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP27held in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt from 6 to 18 November 2022, the United Nations family in Egypt will participate in the “United Nations Pavilion in Egypt” in the Blue Zone, and the events will start in the United Nations Pavilion from 9 November to 17 November 2022, in line with the international agenda of the Climate Summit .

1 – The focus will be on the various programmes, activities and initiatives of the United Nations in Egypt under the slogan “One wing of one United Nations in Egypt”.
2- This aims to highlight the approach of the United Nations system in Egypt in dealing with climate issues and its reliance on the pillars of the United Nations work in Egypt, which are: human capital, basic social services, economic development and governance, and the empowerment of women and girls.
3 – The Conference of the States Parties will adopt COP27 on resultsCOP26 To provide action on a range of issues critical to addressing the climate emergency.
