A statement from the Egyptian Doping Organization regarding the Al-Ahly and Zamalek matches against Enppi and Al-Dakhiliya

The Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization issued a statement revealing its presence in the Al-Ahly matches against Enppi and Zamalek with Al-Dakhiliya, and it read as follows: The Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization was present in the Al-Ahly matches with Enppi And Zamalek Today, Thursday, with the Ministry of Interior, within the matches of the twelfth round of the Egyptian Premier League, the doping detection officers who were present in the two matches randomly took samples from the players according to the mechanism specified in accordance with the international code set by the International Anti-Doping Agency.

This comes within the framework of the role played by the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization, where doping detection officers are present continuously in Premier League soccer matches without prior announcing the matches being covered, in order to preserve the required confidentiality in this regard.

Dr. Hanem Amir, Executive Director of the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization, said that the organization is keen to play its role to ensure the practice of a clean sport free of doping, and the organization is present in matches and competitions that are held in Egypt in various sports, not just football.

She explained that sampling in Premier League football matches is carried out randomly by the numbers of the players without prior knowledge of the player who will be chosen to conduct a doping test after the end of the match.

She stressed that the procedures followed are subject to the code issued by the World Anti-Doping Agency, starting from the arrangements before, during and after the sample withdrawal, up to the results of the samples.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization is the body responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and advocating for improvements in the field of doping control in Egypt, cooperating with relevant national and international organizations and agencies and other anti-doping organizations, as well as planning, implementing and monitoring anti-doping information and education, education and prevention programmes. .
