The National Initiative for the Development of the Egyptian Industry “Ebda” aims to localize modern industry, reduce the import gap, and prepare workers for the needs of the labor market.
The objectives of the initiative are integrated with the national goals of the Egyptian state, its international commitments and efforts towards achieving sustainable economic and social growth, providing clean energy solutions, innovation in the industrial field, and responsible consumption and production..
The initiative is a presidential youth initiative, commissioned by the President of the Republic for the youth of the presidential program.
According to the initiative’s official website, it aims to achieve sustainability and economic integration with a decent life, and “Ebda” Company for Projects Development LLC is the executive arm of the initiative.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also announced that the launch of the initiative to support the localization of national industries to rely on the local product and reduce imports, by strengthening the role of the national private sector in the localization of many large, medium, small and micro industries in Egypt, with the provision of a number of incentives in the form of land The right to usufruct and tax exemption for a period of five years, in addition to providing the necessary support to legalize the status of violators and providing technical and material support to defaulters.
