Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Egyptian journalist, Ibrahim Issa, sparked a wide interaction among activists on social media after criticizing the late Islamic cleric, Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawy.
The criticism of Ibrahim Issa came in the program he presents on Al-Qahera wa Al-Nas channel, in which he said: “Sheikh Al-Shaarawi, in all his lessons, in all his sermons, lectures, and what was reported about him, his programs, and his dialogues, hates women.

Among the responses and comments received on Issa’s statements, Alaa, the son of the former Egyptian president, Muhammad Hosni Mubarak, said in a tweet: “We did not believe us.
