Ayman El-Gamil: The National Initiative for Green and Smart Projects is a major shift in the Egyptian economy

He pointed out that the number of projects received by the initiative’s electronic platform so far has exceeded 5,000 projects, between large projects whose annual turnover exceeds 200 million pounds, newly established industrial projects whose paid or invested capital exceeds 15 million pounds, and modern non-industrial projects. Businessman Ayman El-Gamil confirmed that the electronic platform of the National Initiative for Green and Smart Projects also received hundreds of medium-sized projects, which include each project whose annual turnover is 50 million pounds and does not exceed 200 million pounds, and every newly established industrial project whose paid-up capital or invested capital exceeded 5 million pounds It does not exceed 15 million pounds, and every newly established non-industrial project whose paid-up capital or invested capital exceeds 3 million pounds and does not exceed 5 million pounds.

Ayman El-Gamil explained that small and micro enterprises have not been absent from the initiative’s electronic platform, and their number has reached about 500 projects, and includes each project with an annual turnover of one million pounds and less than 50 million pounds, and every newly established industrial project has a paid-up capital or invested capital. 50 thousand pounds and less than 5 million pounds, and every newly established non-industrial project whose paid-in capital or invested capital exceeds 50 thousand pounds and is less than 3 million pounds.

Ayman Al-Gamil pointed out that the initiative’s electronic platform strongly supports the projects of start-ups and entrepreneurship, which are projects that have not passed 7 years since the start of the activity or the start of production, and which include a degree of seriousness or innovation, and the project that has not been established, registered or engaged in its activity for more than Two years, as well as women’s projects related to climate change, whether the initiatives of NGOs or institutions led by women specialized in the field of environment and smart sustainable green projects, provided that they have positive impacts on society in the areas of women, environment and climate, and that the work of the collective initiative includes repeatable success stories Adaptation and sustainability within the local context, and adopts means of work with low economic costs, as well as digital transformation “electronic technology and applications” and environmentally friendly means, and implements campaigns targeting women and their role in the transition to the green economy.

Ayman Gemayel added that one of the most important features of the national initiative, the results of which will be announced at the Climate Conference COP 27 Which will be hosted by Egypt next November in Sharm El-Sheikh, that it will continue after the end of the conference as one of the important national initiatives that come within the framework of settling sustainable development goals, promoting climate action and supporting green projects in Egypt, which is enough to make a qualitative leap in the Egyptian economy.
