The Confederation of African Football (CAF) sent an official letter to its Egyptian counterpart, in which he inquired about Egypt’s ability to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations, after the organization was withdrawn from Guinea due to lack of readiness.

On his part; Ihab El-Komy, a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, revealed to “Youm7” a letter sent by the CAF to the Egyptian Federation to know Egypt’s position on the organization of the 2025 African Cup of Nations, after CAF decided to reopen the invitation to receive applications for the organization of the African Cup of Nations. 2025, after the organization was withdrawn from Guinea.

Several media reports have emerged during the last period about the nomination of Algeria, Morocco and South Africa to organize the African Nations 2025.

The South African Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsebe, had recently announced the withdrawal of the organization of the 2025 African Nations Cup from Guinea, and the reason behind this decision was announced, which is that it was not ready to receive the tournament.

Motsebe indicated that Guinea will not organize the 2025 African Nations Championship because the infrastructure is not ready for this event yet, opening the door to organization for many other African countries. Motsini also explained that despite the great effort made by the authorities in Guinea, the preparations are not up to the level of competition taking place there.
