Giza Governorate, in coordination with the General Traffic Department, will be closed shortly surface road Leading to Sudan Street and completely adjacent to Ahmed Orabi Bridge, for a period of 10 days, until the morning of Tuesday, 8/11/2022, to install the concrete beam for the new Ahmed Orabi axis.

The work is scheduled to start from 10 pm until 5 am the next day, diverting traffic for drivers coming from Ahmed Orabi Street and Sphinx Square towards Sudan Street, entering right on Bahr Al Ghazal Street until its intersection with Atbara Street, then entering left on Atbara Street. The General Directorate of Giza Traffic has appointed the necessary traffic services to follow up the traffic situation during the closure period and to publish directional and warning signs, searchlights and light mills in the business vicinity to guide vehicle drivers and maintain the security and safety of citizens.

And the Giza Governorate had indicated in a statement that, within the framework of completing the construction works related to the expansion of the 15th of May Bridge in both directions within the scope of the governorate, as well as raising and installing the concrete beam for the new Ahmed Orabi axis (as part of the expansion and development project of the alternative 26th of July axis), a distance of 1 km will be deducted. , 5 m to break the iron fences and concrete slabs located on the right side of the 15th of May Bridge in both directions to connect the current body of the 15th of May Bridge to the new extension, alternately along the entire length of the bridge for a period of two months, starting from one o’clock on Friday 28/10/2022 until the morning of Sunday 25 12/2022 that the business will be 24 hours without disrupting the traffic.

Major General Ahmed Rashid, the governor of Giza, and the head of the Agouza district, directed the periodic follow-up of the work and coordination with the General Department of Giza Traffic to take the necessary towards facilitating the movement of vehicles in the business vicinity and raising the efficiency of alternative streets.
