Companies acquire a share of 57.8% of the funders of medium and small projects


Companies topped the ranking of providers of financing for medium, small and micro enterprises, during the second quarter of 2022 in terms of the value of financing balances at a value of 19.1 billion pounds, with a market share of 57.8%, while it came in second place in terms of the number of beneficiaries with a share of 42.5%, which amounted to about 1.6 million beneficiaries. Compared to the end of the second quarter of 2021, in which the value of financing balances amounted to 12.5 billion pounds, to a number of beneficiaries that amounted to about 1.3 million beneficiaries.

According to the report of the Financial Supervisory Authority, the civil associations and institutions of category (A) ranked second at the end of the second quarter of 2022, in terms of the value of financing balances at a value of 12.2 billion pounds, with a market share of 37%, while it came in first place in terms of the number of beneficiaries, reaching 1.9 million beneficiaries, or 50.9% of the number of beneficiaries, compared to the end of the second quarter of 2021, in which the value of funding balances amounted to 8.6 billion pounds, for a number of beneficiaries that amounted to about 1.7 million beneficiaries.

Category (B) civil associations and institutions ranked fourth at the end of the second quarter of 2022, in terms of the value of funding balances with a value of 843.4 million pounds, with a market share of 2.6%, as well as in fourth place in terms of the number of beneficiaries, reaching 94.6 thousand beneficiaries, or 2.5% of the total number of beneficiaries. The number of beneficiaries, compared to the end of the second quarter of 2021, in which the value of financing balances amounted to 641.01 million pounds, and the number of beneficiaries amounted to about 85.8 million beneficiaries.

Category (C) civil associations and institutions ranked third at the end of the second quarter of 2022, in terms of the value of funding balances with a value of 865.13 million pounds, with a market share of 2.6%, as well as in third place in terms of the number of beneficiaries, which amounted to 155.6 thousand beneficiaries, or 4.1% of the number of beneficiaries. beneficiaries, compared to the end of the second quarter of 2021, in which the value of financing balances amounted to 784.7 million pounds, for a number of beneficiaries that amounted to about 151.2 thousand beneficiaries.

The second quarter of 2022 witnessed a remarkable growth in the value of medium, small and microfinance balances, by 45% to reach 32.9 billion pounds, compared to the end of the same period last year, which amounted to 22.5 billion pounds, and the number of beneficiaries increased by 13.8% to reach 3.8 million beneficiaries at the end of the second quarter of 2022 compared to about 3.3 million beneficiaries during the same quarter of last year.
