The Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, Ambassador Suha Gendy, said that a list will be prepared that includes investors Egyptians abroad To communicate with them and promote the investment map of Egypt, coordination is also made with the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones to settle on the work team and the proposed strategy for the coming period.

This came during the minister’s meeting with the head of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, to discuss mechanisms for implementing government directives by approving a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Immigration to establish a joint-stock company for Egyptians abroad in various economic activities, in addition to offering shares in national projects.

The minister revealed the use of artificial intelligence and information technology to attract investors, reviewing the Ministry of Immigration’s plan to provide a number of incentives and facilities to Egyptian citizens abroad, which are announced collectively through an electronic application prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications.

For his part, Mohamed Abdel-Wahab said that the unit of Egyptian investors abroad would present investment opportunities and issue the necessary licenses for projects.

Abdel Wahab referred to the objectives for which the unit for Egyptian investors abroad was established, which includes receiving those wishing to establish investment projects in Egypt, and positive assistance in overcoming obstacles they encounter when they obtain services, in addition to developing links with Egyptian citizens abroad by providing them With information and media materials, and answering their wishes and inquiries in a way that helps them to identify on a permanent and continuous basis the available investment opportunities, plan their contributions to national projects, and activate their participation in the comprehensive development plan.
