Egyptian liquefied natural gas exports jump to $781 million last June


The data of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed the development of Egyptian exports of petroleum products during the period that witnessed a significant increase in Egyptian exports of petroleum products and liquefied natural gas, according to official data, as it recorded about 781.2 million dollars in the month of June, up from 522.8 million dollars. $258.4 million in June 2021, an increase of 49.4%.

Egypt’s exports of liquefied natural gas continue to lead the Egyptian exported products and commodities for the second month in a row, as last May witnessed an increase in exports of petroleum and liquefied natural gas products to about $726.4 million, compared to $504 million in the same month in 2021, an increase of about 222.4 million dollars, an increase of 44.1%.

The list of the most important commodities exported by Egypt during that period included crude oil exports of 267.8 million dollars last June, compared to 231.7 million dollars in the same month in 2021, an increase of 15.6%, then Egypt’s exports of plastics in their primary forms amounted to 203.7 million dollars. $157.4 million during the comparison period, an increase of 29.4%.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced that the value of the trade balance deficit decreased to $3.21 billion during the month of June, compared to $3.66 billion in the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 12.4%.
