Ferreira decides to exclude Samson from facing Al-Masry in the Egypt Cup

Portuguese Josevaldo Ferreira, coach of the first football team at Zamalek Club, decided to punish Beninese striker Samson Akinola, by excluding him from the upcoming Al-Masry Al-Port Said match in the Egypt Cup.

A state of dissatisfaction prevailed in the technical staff of Zamalek with Samson Akinola because of his delay in arriving in Cairo to join the group training of his team after the technical staff allowed him to return to his country for a short vacation, but the player did not abide by the return date.

Zamalek officials are waiting for Akinola’s return in order to find out the reasons that led to his late arrival at the time specified by the technical staff, before applying the regulations and fining him financially.

The technical staff of Zamalek, led by the Portuguese Josevaldo Ferreira, granted the players a four-day leave, and allowed foreigners to travel to their countries, provided that they return to Cairo to attend training last Monday, but Akinola did not return until today.

Zamalek will face its Egyptian counterpart, Port Said, in the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, at 5:00 pm, on Saturday, November 26, at Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

The strike force of the white team is complete with the return of most of the injured and their readiness for the Al-Masry Al-Port Said match, headed by Mahmoud Shikabala, Mohamed Abdel-Ghany and Ferreira demanded the speedy preparation of Ahmed Fattouh, Ibrahima Nday, Nabil Emad Donga, and Youssef Hassan, with the exception of Mahmoud Hamdy “Al-Wensh”, who suffered a severe injury in the posterior muscle tendons. He will be absent for a period of at least 4 or 6 months, depending on the response speed of the rehabilitation program designated for the player.
