FilGoal | News | A source from Pyramids reveals to Al-Joule the truth about Zamalek’s offer to include Abdullah Al-Saeed

Pyramids Club revealed the truth about the offer submitted by Zamalek to include the team’s playmaker, Abdullah Al-Saeed.

And the former Egyptian national team playmaker previously signed for Zamalek in 2018, a deal that the Al-Abyad administration called at the time the “deal of the century”, but it was not completed in the end.

A source from Pyramids told FilGoal.com: “Zamalek has not made any offer to include Abdullah Al-Saeed yet.”

He added, “We cannot talk about the player’s departure or not now, because there are no negotiations on the ground.”

And he continued, “Resolving the player’s fate will be in the hands of Pyramids when the offers are available, but he is now a player on the strength of the team.”

Al-Saeed, 37, has been in Pyramids since joining him in a surprise deal in January 2019, after a professional period in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahly Jeddah.

Al-Saeed began his career in Ismaily, before moving to Al-Ahly in 2011 and spending 7 seasons in its ranks, during which he won all possible championships.

Al-Saeed played on loan to the Finnish Cups for a short period to maintain his physical fitness before the 2018 World Cup, against the backdrop of his exclusion from Al-Ahly’s list after his signature for Zamalek came to light.

After a period in Al-Ahly Jeddah, Al-Saeed returned to the Egyptian stadiums from the Pyramids Gate and was able to write history by entering the Hundred Club in the Egyptian League.

Al-Saeed played 55 international matches with the Egyptian national team, during which he scored 6 goals, and contributed to reaching the final of the 2017 African Nations Cup, and to the 2018 World Cup, where he scored a goal.

Pyramids rose to the Egyptian Cup final for the second time in its history, after defeating Zamalek on penalties 4-3, after a tie in the original and extra times, with a goal for each team.

Pyramids will play with the winner from Al-Ahly and Smouha in the final match.

It is noteworthy that Pyramids is in fourth place in the league, with 24 points from 13 matches.
