Sherif Aboul Gheit, the official spokesman for Enppi Club and a member of the club’s board of directors, revealed that Al-Ahly is close to including Mustafa Shalaby, the team’s wing.
Aboul Gheit pointed to the convergence of views during the Al-Ahly and Enppi negotiations, and matters are in advanced stages.
As for goalkeeper Mahmoud Gad, Aboul Gheit revealed that the player’s fate was decided within 24 hours.
Sherif Aboul Gheit said to FilGoal.com: “Al-Ahly is close to the inclusion of Mustafa Shalabi, the negotiations are in an advanced stage, and the decision will be made within hours.”
The member of the Enppi administration added, “We are trying to bring the views closer in material matters, and there are points of agreement that have already occurred.”
Aboul Gheit stressed, “The player’s desire is confirmed to Al-Ahly, but he respects Enppi’s professional behavior.”
Mostafa Shalaby, 27, plays in the left wing position, and he moved to the ranks of Enppi in 2020 from Assiut Petroleum.
Shalaby contributed 12 goals in the league competition this season, scoring 10 and assisting two others in 28 matches he played with the team.
In the Egypt Cup match, in which Enppi was bid farewell to Al-Ahly Bank, Mostafa Shalaby scored two goals and made another, which ended with a score of 4-4 before resorting to penalty kicks.
Speaking about Mahmoud Gad, he explained, “There are negotiations from Future and Al-Masry to include the goalkeeper.”
In his statements, Sherif Aboul Gheit revealed, “Decision will be made within 24 hours at the most.”
Speaking about the position of Jorvan Vieira, the coach, he said: “We are studying the coach’s position and the final decision soon.”
Mahmoud Gad played 20 matches with Enppi in the last season in the Egyptian League and Egypt Cup.
Gad conceded 30 goals last season, while keeping 3 clean sheets.
