FilGoal | News | For two years .. L’Equipe reveals the details of Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain

The French newspaper, L’Equipe, revealed the details of Kylian Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe announced at the end of last season that he would stay in Paris Saint-Germain by signing a contract for 3 seasons.

The French newspaper indicated that Mbappe’s contract extends for only two years, with the option to extend it for another season, not 3 seasons, as is rumored.

She explained that the decision to activate the clause to extend the contract for an additional season belongs to Mbappe alone, which means that Paris Saint-Germain will face next summer the risk of losing his player after one season for free as well if he decides not to renew his contract.

The report added that Mbappe’s decision to continue will be linked to the team’s performance on the field, which will put pressure on the Paris club’s management.

Paris Saint-Germain is currently suffering from the restrictions of the European Union due to the violation of the laws of financial fair play, as the club was fined 10 million euros out of a settlement estimated at 65 million euros. (See details)

Luis Campos, the new sporting director of Saint-Germain, seeks to reconcile the situation of the team.

Mbappe previously told the American newspaper “The New York Times” about the dream of playing with Real Madrid, replying, “You never know the future, I’ve never been there in this club before, but it looks like your home or something.”

He added, “I never imagined that I would sit down with Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, to talk about my future, this is crazy, and he said to me: ‘I want you to stay in Paris, you are very important to the country, you have time to leave and you can stay here longer.'”

And he continued, “I told him, of course, that when the president of your country tells you that, it is an important matter.”

According to the New York Times, Mbappe will receive 83 million euros annually as a salary with Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe received 125 million renewal bonus with the French team.

Thus, the total amount that Mbappe will receive in three years is 374 million euros.

Mbappe moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 to score 178 goals and assist 88 others in 222 games.
