FilGoal | News | Guardiola: I feel that Manchester United are finally back.. I admire what they are doing now

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola feels that his traditional rival, Manchester United, has returned to his level.

Guardiola told reporters, “I feel like Manchester United is back.”

“Finally Manchester United is back, I watched their match on Thursday against Sheriff, and the first half against Chelsea.”

United had won the first match in the European League 3-0, and tied the second in the English Premier League with a goal for the same.

“I’ve said it before, I like what I see from United now, there will be a lot of teams like United fighting, so you have to fight to qualify for the Champions League and to win the league,” Guardiola added.

Guardiola moved to talk about Newcastle as well and said: “They are also in the competition.”

And he continued, “I saw their match against Tottenham, the team’s defenders watched Harry Kane and Son without any problem.”

He continued, “I faced Newcastle in the third round of the league. Do you know that this team only plays one match per week? We know how good Eddie Howe is the coach.”

And he added, “They have new players and play with courage, they will be competitors in the future.”

Guardiola believes his team does not get the credit they deserve. “I saw the players after the Brighton game, they were tired,” he said.

“The players couldn’t hold their phones, imagine how tired they were, they didn’t even have the energy to open Instagram.”

City is second in the English Premier League table with 26 points, two points behind leaders Arsenal, and both have played 11 games.

Newcastle comes fourth with 21 points from 12 matches.

United are sixth with 20 points from 11 matches.
