Greek Pyramids coach Takis Junias chose 21 players in the team’s squad for a camp in Dubai.
The Pyramids Club will participate in a preparatory camp in Dubai from 24 September to 3 October.
The list included the new trio, Karim Hafez, the Moroccan Mohamed Al-Shaibi and Mahmoud Abdel-Aty “Dunga”.
Mostafa Fathi, the new team player from Al-Taawon, is scheduled to join the mission in the coming hours.
The Egyptian national team quintet, Ahmed El-Shennawy, Ali Gabr, Mohamed Hamdi, Osama Galal and Islam Issa, will join the Olympic team, Mahmoud Saber, as well as the Burkinabe Platé Touré on September 28.

Defense lines: Ahmed Sami – Ahmed Fathi – Karim Hafez – Youssef Shaaban – Mohammed Al-Shaibi
Midfield: Mahmoud Abdel-Aty “Dunga” – Ramadan Sobhi – Mohamed Sadek – Hisham Mohamed – Walid Al-Karti – Abdullah Al-Saeed – Abdullah Magdi – Eric Traore – Ibrahim Adel
Forward line: Mahmoud Wadi – Fakhri Lakai – Dudu Al-Jabbas – Fakhreddine Ben Youssef.
Hani Saeed, the sports director of Pyramids Club, explained through his club’s media center: “The preparatory camp in Dubai came within the framework of the club’s management efforts to provide the best possible atmosphere to prepare the team for the new season.”
“The camp will be held in Dubai, and will start on September 24, and the team will return to Cairo on October 3,” he added.
He stressed, “The technical staff, led by the Greek Takis, will work hard to equip the team technically and physically in the best possible way, in addition to playing some friendly matches, which are currently being prepared and agreed upon, so that Pyramids is completely ready for the new season.”
Pyramids are preparing to face Hilal Al-Sahel in the context of the 32nd round of the Confederation Cup, as well as the new season of the Egyptian League.
