Carlos Vela – Javier Hernandez – Mexico national team
Mexico coach Gerardo Martino has revealed that Carlos Vela and Javier Hernandez “Tichcharito” will miss the 2022 World Cup.
The Argentine coach explained during a press conference the reasons before the friendly matches between Peru and Colombia.
Martinho said: “As for Carlos Vela, he told me 3 years ago that he would not prefer to be called up for the national team, and the matter has not changed.”
“As for Javier Hernandez, I prefer other strikers in his position.”

Carlos Vela, 32, played 72 games for the national team, nicknamed “Tere”, starting from 2007, during which he scored 19 goals, including one against South Korea in the 2018 World Cup.
Since the end of his Mexico campaign in the World Cup 2018 against Brazil in the final price, Villa has not played any official match in the Tre shirt.
As for Chicharito, the Los Angeles Galaxy striker and historical scorer for his country has not played any friendly or official match since August 2019 when he scored a friendly against the United States.
In the American League this season, Chicharito scored 15 goals, while Villa scored 11 goals and assisted 11.
Mexico’s offensive squad includes: Raul Jimenez, Irving Lozano, Henry Martin, Alexis Vega, Rogelio Funes Mori and Santiago Jimenez.
Mexico is in Group C of the 2022 World Cup, along with Poland, Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
