FilGoal | News | The end of the dispute between Micali and El-Hadary in the Olympic team .. and a welcome from the duo

Mohamed Barakat, member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association and supervisor of the Olympic team, resolved the difference of views between coach Rogerio Micale and goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary.

The past hours witnessed a positive difference in views between Micale and El-Hadary, according to the Football Association’s media center.

The difference came against the background of the number of guards scheduled to join the national team in its camp, which is scheduled to start tomorrow, Thursday, as part of the preparations to face Zambia in the third round of qualifying for the African Nations, which qualifies for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Micali announced the inclusion of two goalkeepers for the Olympic team, while Essam El-Hadary suggested including three goalkeepers in anticipation of any circumstance.

Barakat, the general supervisor of the Olympic team, continued with the duo Micali and El-Hadary to hear the two points of view.

The Football Association, represented by Barakat, agreed to implement Mikale’s decision to include two goalkeepers as the technical decision-maker.

It was taken into account that if exceptional circumstances occur, a third guard will be called.

Micali and El-Hadary welcomed the decision in a civilized atmosphere, and it ended up serving the public interest of the team, which combines mutual friendliness between members of the technical staff.

The African qualifiers will be held in Morocco, and the first 3 teams in it will advance to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games directly.

Egypt is the title holder of the previous edition, which was held in Cairo in 2019, and qualified for the Tokyo Olympics under the leadership of Shawky Gharib.

The league competition is suspended at the present time due to the holding of the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh until the 18th of November.

The league competition will resume on the 23rd of this month with three postponed matches.
