Ismaily suffered its seventh defeat in the league competition this season, after losing to Haras El Hodood with two free goals in the twelfth round of the competition.

Ismaily is at the bottom of the league standings table, after its balance was frozen at 7 points after 12 rounds had passed.

Mostafa Zico, the player of Haras El Hodoud, scored both goals for his team, against Ismaili, in the match that was held at the Military College Stadium.

Haras El Hodood moved away from the positions leading to relegation, after raising its score to 10 points in the fifteenth place.

Haras El Hodood achieved its second victory in the league competition, which is the second victory in the last four matches the team played.


Mostafa Abdel Raouf, famously known as “Zico”, scored more than half of Haras El Hodoud’s goals in the league competition this season.

Haras El Hodood scored nine goals in the league competition during the 12 matches played by the team.

And Zico raised his tally to five goals so far, after a brace against Ismaili.

And Zico scores in the third consecutive match with Haras El Hodoud in the league.

Zico is away from the top of the league’s top scorer table, with a single goal difference from Ahmed El-Sheikh, the player of Ghazl El-Mahalla.

Zico equaled Ahmed Sayed Zizou, the Zamalek player, and Rafik Kabo, the Enppi player, with five goals each.

Zico’s name has been linked during the past period to joining more than one club in the league competition.

A source from Haras El Hodoud revealed to last Thursday that the club had received official offers from Al-Masry, Future and Al-Ahly Bank to include the player.

Zizou scored his five goals against Ceramica Cleopatra, Vanguards of the Army and the Arab Contractors.

Match description

The match started with a quick goal by Haras El Hodood at the feet of Mustafa Zico in the third minute of the match.

And Zico succeeded in converting a cross from the right side into a goal to the right of Coco, the Ismaili goalkeeper.

Ismaily took control of the ball after the goal of Haras El Hodood in search of an equalizer, but without real danger to Mohamed Fawzi’s goal.

And Mohamed Coco saved the Ismaili goal in the 36th minute, after a powerful shot by Mostafa Sobhi.

Ahmed Hossam Mido, coach of the Ismaili team, pushed Ahmed Madbouly and Omar Al-Wahsh instead of Abdel-Rahman Magdy and Mohamed Bayoumi in the 42nd minute, three minutes before the end of the first half.

And with the start of the second half, Mido pushed Muhammad Al-Shami instead of Bassem Morsi to support the attack of the dervishes.

Mahmoud Shabrawi scored a goal in the 48th minute for Ismaili, but it was not counted due to an offside situation on Yaw Anwar, the dervish player.

Ismaili almost scored a draw in the 53rd minute, after the ball fell from the hands of Muhammad Fawzi, but the defense successfully dispersed it before Muhammad Al-Shami reached it.

And from a counterattack, Mustafa Zico succeeded in scoring the second goal in the 59th minute, after receiving a through pass from Mustafa Sobhi, which Zico turned into the Ismaili window.

Haras El Hodood retreated after the second goal in order to secure the match points, amid control from Ismaily, in search of the score.

Haras El Hodood succeeded in achieving its second victory in the last four matches, while Ismaili’s position worsened, at the bottom of the league table.

Ismaily will host the Arab Contractors team on Friday in the thirteenth round matches.

While Haras El Hodoud will visit Aswan on the same day in the matches of the same round.
