Hossam Abdel Meguid, the defender of the first football team in Zamalek, returned to participate in Al-Abyad training today, Monday, which was held at Abdel Latif Abourgila Stadium, after he missed yesterday’s training due to his presence with the Olympic team in the Eswatini match in the qualifying competitions for the African Nations Cup U-23.
The technical staff of Zamalek, led by Portuguese Josevaldo Ferreira, was keen to develop a special training program for Abdel Majid to get rid of stress, especially as he joined the team’s list after his participation with Zamalek in the Egyptian Super match.
Hossam Abdel Meguid performed light exercises by jogging around the field, in addition to light exercises with the ball.
Ahmed Fattouh, the left back, was present in the training session, and Mohamed Osama, the team doctor, held a session with Ferreira to explain the player’s medical condition and the length of time he would be absent from the stadiums.
Ahmed Fattouh was injured in the face of the foot during his participation with Zamalek in the last Egyptian Super match.
The team’s midfielder, Nabil Aad, underwent a solo qualification program before the start of group training, under the supervision of Amr El Matarawy, a rehabilitation specialist. The player performed jogging training in addition to light training with the ball.
Goalkeeper coach Ayman Taher set an intense physical program for the trio of white goalkeepers, Mohamed Awad, Mohamed Sobhi and Mohamed Nadim.
Mohamed Abdel Shafi and Benin’s Samson Aquinola, duo of the team, continued to perform individual exercises under the supervision of Andrea Philip, the load coach.
Abdel Shafi and Aquinola participated in the first part of the training with the rest of the team, which included the physical aspects, after which they underwent jogging training around the field, in addition to special training with Andre Philip.
Ferreira gave special instructions to Amr El-Sisi, Al-Abyad midfielder, and held a session with him to explain some offensive instructions to him.
Abdullah Jumaa and Saif Farouk Jaafar, the duo of the team, went through special technical training under the supervision of General Coach Osama Nabih, which is about fast passes and passing the ball over barriers, then the two players participated in the technical division that the team fought.
Ferreira held a session with Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala”, the captain of the team, in which they talked about some technical matters, as well as talking about the upcoming period.
Zamalek is preparing to face Enppi next Wednesday in the fourth round of the league.
