Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Coordinator of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, said that the initiative created a societal movement among the governorates.
Badr indicated, during his speech at the conference to announce the winning projects of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, that they will participate in the COP27 Conference, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and a number of ministers and experts, that the initiative was announced under the auspices of the President of the Republic. Al-Fattah Al-Sisi started and was implemented under the supervision of the Minister of Planning and Economic Development.
The General Coordinator of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects confirmed that due to the importance of the initiative, a set of objectives and requirements for the initiative were set and many criteria were set for selecting projects.
He pointed out that 6,281 projects were submitted in the initiative, only 162 projects were selected, while 46 projects were selected in waste recycling.
Regarding the value of prizes for the winning projects, Badr explained that the first place will receive a prize of 750,000 pounds, the second place will receive a prize of 500,000 pounds and the negative value of 250,000 pounds, explaining that Vodafone will contribute one million pounds to the winners of the women’s category.
This morning, the activities of the conference announcing the winning projects in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects were launched under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Which is scheduled to participate in the Conference of Parties COP27, which will be hosted by Egypt in November in Sharm El-Sheikh.
It is noteworthy that the conference activities will show a documentary film on development efforts and adaptation to climate change and details of the smart green initiative projects.
