He continued, in statements to the “Koora Every Day” program broadcast on Al-Hayat channel, “Our goal is to achieve the African Nations Championship and to beat Senegal in the final.”
Egypt’s beach soccer team, led by Mostafa Lotfy, defeated Morocco 5/4 to qualify for the final match of the African Nations Cup in Mozambique in Vilanculos for the first time in the history of the Pharaohs. With this result, the team also qualified for the next World Beach Soccer World Cup.
Egypt qualified for the beach from the group stage after occupying the second group, behind Senegal, and ahead of Uganda and Madagascar, while the Moroccan team qualified at the top of Group A, ahead of Malawi and Mozambique.
The beach team qualified after defeating its Ugandan counterpart 6-2 in its third match in the group stage of the African Cup of Nations, after beating Madagascar by penalty kicks 4/3 in the first round, and losing from Senegal in the second round 6/4, before To return and defeat Uganda in the third and final round.
