iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in high demand

Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is better compared to previous versions, and described the demand for the iPhone 14 series as neutral to Apple, according to gadgets360.

The recently launched flagship smartphones from Apple have been available for pre-orders since last week and are set to go on sale from September 16th.

Besides his comprehensive analysis of demand for the iPhone 14 series, “Kuo” also provided details by sharing information on a model-by-model basis, starting with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

He explained that the pre-order trends reflect the slow demand for non-professional versions, and added: “Currently, the pre-order results for iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are worse than those for iPhone SE 2022 and iPhone 13 mini.”

Pre-order results for the iPhone 14 Plus, which appears to be a replacement for the iPhone 13 mini, indicate that demand for this new product is much lower than expected. “This means that Apple’s segmentation strategy for standard models this year has failed,” he added.

Coming to iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, Kuo says delivery times of more than 4 weeks for these versions may reflect good demand, iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro delivery times being around 6 weeks and 5 weeks, respectively, according to Kuo, iPhone 14 Pro Max pre-order is better compared to iPhone 13 Pro Max.

In addition, the strong demand for iPhone 14 Pro versions is said to last until at least November, “but assuming Apple does not increase orders for iPhone Pro after that, in which case potential cuts in iPhone 14 and 14 Plus could offset Apple’s gains.” Late fourth quarter of year 22 or first quarter of year 23 due to better mix of iPhone products.
