In order to make or receive calls on WhatsApp Desktop, you will have to connect an audio output device and a microphone to your computer.
Also give WhatsApp permission to access your computer’s microphone and camera.
And WhatsApp on the web does not support group calls, so users can only make one-on-one voice or video calls.
How to make video or audio calls on WhatsApp Web
Open the individual chat you want to make a call to.
Then click on the video call or audio icon
You can also mute or unmute the microphone during a call by clicking the microphone icon, or turn the camera off or on by clicking the camera icon.
How to switch between audio and video calls on WhatsApp on the web
During the audio call you can ask your contact to switch to a video call or the receipt can accept to switch the call mode by clicking OK or Switch to switch the call or Cancel to decline.
