Minister of Business Sector: We aim to develop companies and improve the management of state investments in them

Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, stressed that the ministry is keen on developing affiliated companies, and improving the management of state investments in its owned companies, thus increasing its contribution to the national economy.

This came during the minister’s meeting with Eng. Moataz Mahmoud, head of the Industry Committee in the House of Representatives, who congratulated the minister on assuming the portfolio of the Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector, wishing him success in this important responsibility.

Esmat also indicated the ministry’s keenness to cooperate and communicate with the parliament, stressing the importance of achieving integration between the executive and legislative authorities, which contributes to the implementation of the state’s plan to achieve economic development.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed the general framework and vision related to the reform and development of the companies affiliated with the ministry, and concern for the rights of workers, training and raising their efficiency, given that the development of the skills of the human element is one of the most important axes in development and restructuring projects.

For his part, Representative Moataz Mahmoud stressed the role of the Industry Committee in the House of Representatives and the support of the ministry in achieving its goals to serve the national economy, noting that the next stage will witness more coordination and joint cooperation between the Ministry of Public Business Sector and the Industry Committee to support the industrial sector.
