Minister of Communications: We aim to improve the infrastructure of the terrestrial internet


Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, announced that it will be available to apply for all qualification initiatives for the labor market abroad and at home for all categories free of charge.

Amr Talaat clarified during his interview with Khaled Miri, on the program “Al-Sassr” on Sada Al-Balad channel, that the ministry aims to develop Egyptian digital exports to reach the highest rates.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology added that attracting investments in the field of information technology requires building competencies, pointing out that Egypt succeeded in developing the technological infrastructure before the Corona pandemic.

Amr Talaat revealed that this year witnessed a boom in foreign investments in the field of information technology, pointing out that all new factories in the field of information technology are based on 40% local components.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology indicated that the speed of the terrestrial internet is constantly improving and the ministry seeks to achieve it for the better: “We aim to improve the infrastructure of the terrestrial internet and develop post offices in villages for a decent life.”

Amr Talaat hinted that the ministry made the citizen the strongest party in the contractual relationship between him and the mobile companies by allowing the transfer between companies with the same number without stopping the service or waiting for the approval of the abandoned company.
