The Ministry of Housing has set, next Sunday, the last date to apply for the reservation of housing initiative units for all Egyptians of low and middle income, for those who purchased the conditions booklet and paid the reservation advances before the deadline expired last Thursday.
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, said that the announcement of housing units within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 3” witnessed a great turnout from low- and middle-income citizens, as the total number of condition sheets that were withdrawn from post offices exceeded 253.4 thousand booklets, including 113,498 terms of reference for units ready to be delivered, and 139,920 terms of reference for units delivered within 18 months.
She added that about 160,670 citizens paid the serious reservation advances, as 65,830 citizens paid the serious reservation advance for units ready for delivery, and 94,840 citizens paid the serious reservation advance for units delivered within 18 months.
She stressed that the fund’s website was able to deal with large numbers of citizens who registered during the announcement period, as the total number of registered on the website reached approximately 120 thousand citizens.
The CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund confirmed that the new offering witnesses the application of the new income limits that were approved by the Council of Ministers, which came to keep pace with the increase in the current rate of wages and prices, and with the aim of enabling citizens to obtain subsidized housing units, and the maximum category of Low-income groups: 6 thousand pounds per month for a single individual, and 8 thousand pounds per month for a family, while the maximum limit for the middle-income category is 13,000 pounds per month for a single individual, and 18,000 pounds per month for a family.
