Ceramica Club announced that it has signed Mohamed Bassam, goalkeeper of the Vanguard team, during the current summer transfers, in a contract for the next 5 seasons.

Mohamed Bassam’s joining the ranks of the Ceramica Cleopatra Club came at the request of Ahmed Sami, the technical director of the Ceramica team, who demanded quickly strengthening the goalkeeper, specifically the inclusion of Bassam.

Ceramica’s management is keen to support the team’s ranks with distinctive elements, according to the choices of Ahmed Sami, the team’s technical director, who seeks to create a distinctive synthesis in the next season, combining youth elements with experience so that Ceramica Club can achieve the desired results, commensurate with the level of ambitions of the club’s management.

In a related context, Ceramica goalkeeper coach Ahmed Nagy confirmed that his statements about Mohamed Awad, the Zamalek goalkeeper, were misinterpreted.

In a telephone interview with Khaled Al-Ghandour on On Sport FM radio, Ahmed Nagy said, “Mohamed Awad is the best goalkeeper in the league, and people understand my wrong statements.”

Nagy adds: “Awad’s statements due to not joining the national team are hasty, and Badri is not ready to take the opportunity with Vitoria.”

He continued, “If I were responsible within the technical staff of the national team, I would have decided the continuation of Awad and all respect and appreciation for the existing choices.”

He continued, “Ahmed El-Shennawy is a great goalkeeper and an addition to the team, and Mohamed El-Shennawy is the first goalkeeper for the Egyptian team.”

He adds: “Ceramica deals will be a strong addition, and wait for a new form and the club’s goalkeeper is safe in the presence of Amer Amer.”
