President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Saturday, with representatives of the Qatari Businessmen Association, on the sidelines of his participation in the launch of the forum and the first international exhibition for industry, in the presence of Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Engineer Tariq Al Mulla, Minister Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Engineer Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry.
Ambassador Bassam Radi, official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the president welcomed the renewed meeting with Qatari businessmen after his meeting with them in Doha recently, which reflects the spirit of brotherly cooperation between the two brotherly countries, stressing Egypt’s keenness to develop economic and commercial cooperation relations with the community of men. Qatari businesses and companies and the development of joint investments to contribute to supporting the economic development process in the two brotherly countries, within the framework of joint action to maximize mutual interests and optimal utilization of available opportunities.
The President also praised the positive developments witnessed by the economic and trade relations between the two brotherly countries during the last period, explaining in this regard the various investment opportunities being provided by the giant projects being implemented in Egypt, foremost of which is the development axis of the Suez Canal Zone, which includes a number of major industrial and logistical areas. Which provides promising opportunities for Qatari companies wishing to benefit from Egypt’s strategic location and the free trade agreements that link it with different continents and geographical regions.
