Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Coordinator of the National Initiative for Smart Green Statistical Projects, presented the progress of the initiative at the governorate level, in which 162 projects were selected, with 6 projects in each governorate.
Regarding the projects that were selected, Badr explained during his speech that 46 waste recycling projects, 28 energy and pollution control projects, 28 climate adaptation projects, 8 emissions projects, 29 biodiversity projects, and 16 others, in addition to 16 large projects, and 4 projects. Medium, 1 small business, 4 startups projects, and 2 non-profit projects.
This morning, the activities of the conference announcing the winning projects in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects were launched under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Which is scheduled to participate in the Conference of Parties COP27, which will be hosted by Egypt in November in Sharm El-Sheikh.
It is noteworthy that the conference activities will show a documentary film on development efforts and adaptation to climate change and details of the smart green initiative projects.
