The University of the Future enters the world of smart universities..An agreement with the international company Microsoft to support the university’s plan for digital transformation


The University of the Future, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Al-Azzazi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the first founder of the University, is keen to provide the best educational service at the highest level of technological progress that keeps pace with the modern era, and is interested in achieving digital transformation to transform the university into a smart university, by raising the efficiency of the information infrastructure to simulate prestigious international universities through Agreement with major international companies in the field of technology.

Based on this concept, the university signed a memorandum of understanding with the international company Microsoft at the university’s headquarters in the Fifth Settlement.

The memorandum of understanding between Future University and Microsoft aims to support the university’s plan for digital transformation through a set of different services and technologies to enable students and faculty members to achieve their best by applying the Education Transformational Framework adopted by the global software company, which is derived from its experiences in The higher education sector over the past 25 years with various educational institutions in the world.

The agreement also aims to develop the skills of the labor market for male and female students, which is one of the university’s most important priorities to build cadres capable of developing society and access practical mechanisms to increase the global competitiveness of its graduates through technological awareness and webinars for students, in addition to providing training paths, platforms and virtual laboratories on data science and intelligence. The company also provides the opportunity for outstanding students to participate in the Microsoft Imagine cup Junior competition and to help train the trainers responsible for implementing the initiative and grant them a trainer certificate in related disciplines, while organizing activities for distinguished students, whether cultural or educational , or developmental.

Dr. Khaled Azazi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Future University, witnessed the signing of the agreement. The agreement was signed by Dr. Obada Sarhan, President of the Future University, and Mirna Aref, General Manager of Microsoft Egypt. And in the presence of Amr Al-Masry, Director of the Education Sector at Microsoft Egypt, Dr. Nevin Ragy, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Samy, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, and Director of the Quality Assurance and Continuous Development Center at Future University.

Mirna Aref expressed her happiness with this cooperation with the Future University, which has the strongest rankings among private universities in Egypt, in line with development and Vision 2030, and preparing a generation of young people equipped with the latest international programs that qualify it for the local and international labor market in accordance with the President’s plan for sustainable development and creating job opportunities for young people.

And Prof. Ubadah Sarhan, President of the University, stated that the signing of the memorandum of understanding with the international company Microsoft is one of the important achievements in order to implement the comprehensive educational digital transformation framework adopted by the global software company, which is derived from its experiences in the higher education sector over the past 25 years with various educational institutions in the world. . He added that the agreement aims to develop students’ skills to keep pace with the labor market, build cadres capable of community development, and provide training in software and network development, information security and digital arts.

Amr Al-Masry praised the constructive cooperation between the Future University and Microsoft, stressing that the memorandum of understanding is the beginning of a strong partnership in all fields and activities.
