Hundreds of fellow journalists flocked to the funeral of colleague Allam Abdel Ghaffar, editor-in-chief of Al-Youm Al-Sabaa Newspaper, in his hometown of Izbet Zakaria in the village of Dafno, Itsa Center, Fayoum Governorate, to perform the funeral prayer for him. Also among the audience were Zaki Al-Qadi, Medhat Wahba, Muhammad Al-Gali, Ali Al-Rahman, Ibrahim Salem, Hammad Al-Ramahi, member of the Journalists Syndicate Council, Ali Hossam, Mahmoud Othman, Muhammad Majdi Al-Sisi, Manal Al-Issawy, Marwa Al-Ghoul, Lamis Muhammad, Hani Refaat, Hazem Hussein, Mahmoud Bakr, Asma Nassar, Rabab Al-Gali and Ayman Essa, Muhammad Sobhy, Hisham Zaki, Ahmed Khalil, Ali Abdel Rahman, Muhammad Khattab, Ali Hassan, and a large number of colleagues in several press and media institutions, in addition to a large number of members of the House of Representatives, the people of Fayoum Governorate, and a group of family and relatives.

The funeral ceremony was also attended by Mohamed El-Tony, the official spokesman for Fayoum Governorate, and colleagues on the seventh day, Ahmed Khaled, Hany Fathy, and Sabry Ghanem.

May God have mercy on him, our colleague Allam Abdel Ghaffar, deputy editor-in-chief of the Seventh Day and head of the provincial department, passed away after a struggle with illness, and a busy journey of giving in the Seventh Day Foundation between its various departments.

The late colleague Allam Abdel Ghaffar joined the work of the Seventh Day Foundation about 14 years ago, during which he was included among the various departments of the institution, and his star emerged in the news department at the beginning of his work, through his distinguished coverage of the news of Giza Governorate, and his presentation of a number of prominent journalistic investigations and his response to the concerns and demands of the people Giza Governorate, qualified him to reserve his place among the leading journalists in Egypt, as he was traveling in the field to monitor the complaints and demands of the people in all the cities of the governorate.
