Training a group of leaders in the UAE to learn about the latest solutions in the field of governance


The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, in cooperation with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, concluded; The second session of the training program to qualify a group of government leaders from the Arab Republic of Egypt, to learn about the latest innovative solutions and experiences, in the field of governance and sustainability in the digital age, within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two parties.

Dr. Sharifa Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, said: “We are pleased to continue our cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government. The program, in its first and second cycles, has so far achieved great success and left a clear imprint on the experiences of government leaders who participated in the training programme, and we are on I am confident that these pioneering experiences will be reflected on the government’s performance during the coming period, and we will reap the fruits of that program for the benefit of implementing the various vital goals of the Egyptian government in its various institutions and at the level of economic sectors.”

For his part, Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al-Marri said: “Mohammed bin Rashid College always seeks to enhance its role in advancing government leaders in the UAE and the region, based on the UAE’s rich experience in the field of government administration and government excellence, and the success of its pioneering development experience, and we are happy to conclude the second cycle of the program.” The training course to qualify a group of leaders of the government of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, and the distinguished partnership with the Egyptian National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and we look forward to the coming period to enrich that experience by expanding our partnerships with various authorities and governments in the region and the world.”

The training program comes within the framework of activating the pioneering role of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government in rehabilitating the government work system with the latest expertise, experiences and innovative solutions. The training program sheds light on governance and sustainability in the digital age. The training program consisted of 14 workshops that discussed many vital topics such as Future government and government strategies, strategic leadership and its tools in the era of challenges, global governance, corporate governance, and global goals for sustainable development – within the report of the Sustainable Development Goals Index in the Arab Region 2022, which was launched by the college during Expo 2020 – in addition to the topics of digital transformation in institutions, and excellence governmental.

The training program also included field visits to a number of government institutions in Dubai, which included “Digital Dubai”, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the “Dubai Police General Command”.

A number of leaders and experts from the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, government agencies, and academic institutions attended the workshops, including Younis Al Nasser, Assistant Director General of Dubai Digital, Executive Director of Dubai Data Corporation, Professor Raed Awamleh, Dean of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, and Dr. Fadi Salem, Director of Dubai Data Corporation. The Department of Research and Consultations at the College, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Borai, Vice-President of the International Federation of Arab Realtors, Dr. Saleh Al-Hamrani, Deputy Director-General of the General Department of Excellence and Leadership in the Dubai Police General Headquarters, Dr. Abdul Aziz Estiteh, Senior Economic Adviser to the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, and Prof. Youssef Al-Assaf, President of the University Rochester Technology, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Nuseirat, Excellence Consultant.
