WhatsApp is testing the app’s ability to create polls

Some WhatsApp users will soon be able to send a new type of text message, as the app is testing the chat’s ability to create in-app polls.

But the investigators at WABetaInfo have discovered that polls are in the Android beta test app, meaning that beta users will soon be able to experiment with creating polls, and the feature will be rolled out to the general public as well.

According to the latest leak, WhatsApp users will be able to share polls with other members of the group, and they will be able to add up to 12 options in the poll.

However, it is possible that this maximum will grow or shrink before the feature is finally launched, according to The Sun.

You’ll be able to access the feature through the Make a Chat page, where you can also choose to send documents, locations, or contact profiles.

Although it is currently in development on Android, surveys will likely work the same way on iOS and desktop as well, but WhatsApp has not announced when the new feature will be launched.

If you want to try the latest WhatsApp features first, follow these steps to join the beta version.

WhatsApp security trick

While waiting for the polls, there is an important feature that you must activate.

You can actually set WhatsApp to have its own lock screen.

This means that if you pass someone on your phone to use it for a short time, they will not be able to access your WhatsApp.

To set this up you have to head over to your WhatsApp settings.

Then click on “Account” and then “Privacy”.

You can turn on Lock Screen with Touch ID or Face ID on your iPhone.

You will also be able to choose a time period when the ID will be required again.

When you go to open the app, it will ask you for your prints or a photo of your face to verify that you are really reading your private conversations.

You can still quickly read and reply to messages in the notification window, so the tool is not foolproof.

You will also be able to answer WhatsApp calls.
