The handball team in Zamalek Club advanced against its Al-Ahly counterpart 11/13 in the first half of the confrontation, which brought both teams together at Hassan Mostafa Hall on the 6th of October, which hosted the competition for three consecutive days in the Egyptian Super Cup.
The start of the competition witnessed Zamalek’s victory over Sporting with a kickoff the day before yesterday, Saturday, with a result of 36/37 in extra time, after a tie in the original time with a result of 29/29, before Al-Ahly met with Sporting yesterday evening at the same time, and achieved a 20/21 victory.
The winning team in this match will win the Egyptian Super Cup.
In the meeting, Zamalek is counting on the experiences of the duo, Ahmed Al-Ahmar and Akram Yousry, and with them the two new deals, Mohamed Yassin and Shadi Khalil, while Al-Ahly includes two new deals in its ranks, namely, Raul Nantes, the Brazilian coming from the Romanian Dynamo Bucharest, and Shehab Abdullah, coming from the vanguard of the army.
The Competitions Committee of the Handball Federation, headed by Saeed Abdel Moneim, has previously set September 13 as the date for the start of the league associated with professionals born in 2002 for the 2022/2023 season.
