Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek Club, responded for the first time to the crisis that arose recently after Zamalek restored the services of young goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi.

Zamalek loaned Mammad Sobhi to Farco Club last summer, and the loan contract included a clause that Farco had the right to buy Sobhi permanently, but Zamalek suddenly announced last Saturday evening Sobhi’s return to his ranks, although Farco was preparing to activate the purchase clause.

Sources from Farco commented on Zamalek’s position, stressing that what Zamalek did was not legal, threatening to escalate the matter to the International Football Association “FIFA”.

Mortada Mansour responded to the matter, in statements to the Zamalek channel, where he said: “I assure everyone, Mohamed Sobhi Selim’s contract, the season ends on August 31, and Farko was supposed to complete the procedures by signing and handing over Sobhi’s purchase money permanently before this date, which did not happen. “.

And he added: “I wish that Farco would not have suspended the restrictions to provide them with young players, we have no problems except with one club.”

Regarding the final departure of Marwan Hamdi to Al-Masry, with a contract for 4 seasons, Mortada Mansour said: “I thank every player who left and they will be honored. Any player who left or whose loan was extended was based on Ferrera’s desire.”
